Peter Kreisky is President of The Kreisky Media Consultancy, LLC., a top management consulting boutique that focuses exclusively on strategy and business transformation issues in the media and entertainment industry. He is also a Senior Advisor to The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
An internationally recognized expert on the media industry, he speaks regularly at industry conferences and is quoted frequently in publications such as The Economist, Business Week, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, LA Times, USA Today, Advertising Age, Folio, National Journal and Bloomberg. Kreisky Media focuses exclusively on the media and entertainment industry, including publishing in all its forms: magazines, newspapers, books, journals, digital media, the Internet, as well as on television, movies, music, education, information, and advertising. Peter has served clients in these sectors across a variety of growth strategy assignments, most recently digital transformation, brand strategy, portfolio strategy, organization design, advertising strategy, circulation strategy, new business development. He has worked in news across print, television, radio and Internet.

In addition, he has an extensive network of contacts at a senior level throughout the media and entertainment industry.
Peter founded The Kreisky Media Consultancy in 2002 after more than ten years at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) as head of its worldwide Media and Entertainment Practice. Before joining Mercer, Peter was with CBS Inc., where he was responsible for the strategies of some 30 business units, including magazines, books, newspapers, software, television, interactive video, and information services; with Thought Leaders, Inc., a software start-up he co-founded; and with McKinsey & Company, in New York, London and Amsterdam.
Peter grew up in Great Britain, is a graduate of Cambridge University and holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He sits on the Publications Board of The New England Journal of Medicine and is a long-time member of the Media Council of The Paley Center for Media. He is on the teaching faculty of Stanford University’s Professional Publishing Program, and also is teaching this year at NYU’s Center for Publishing and Columbia Journalism School’s Sulzberger Leadership Program.
