Peter A. Kreisky

Peter Kreisky is the Founder and Chairman of the Kreisky Media Consultancy. He is a recognized expert on strategy in the media and entertainment sector, focused on the intersection of technology with traditional media. He is both a senior strategy consultant and an expert advisor to major organizations. Most recently, he was Senior Advisor to Time Inc., the largest magazine media company in the world, with oversight responsibility for strategy. Previously, he was Senior Advisor to The Boston Consulting Group, supporting its Global Media Practice. He is also an Academic Advisor to Yale University's Publishing Program, an Advisor to The New England Journal of Medicine, and a member of the Editorial Board for the Publishing Research Quarterly journal.

During his extensive management consulting and advisory career, Mr. Kreisky has served more than 40 media clients in North America and Europe, across hundreds of assignments. He started his consulting career at McKinsey & Company; headed Mercer Management Consulting’s worldwide media practice for ten years (since rebranded Oliver Wyman); founded and ran The Kreisky Media Consultancy, LLC, a strategy boutique; then became Senior Advisor to The Boston Consulting Group, at all times with a focus is on strategy and business transformation in Media.  Also, Peter was Vice President, Strategy & Business Development for CBS Inc., where he was responsible for the strategies of some 30 business units, including magazines, books, newspapers, software, television, interactive video, and information services; and with Thought Leaders, Inc., a software start-up he co-founded;

Mr. Kreisky grew up in Great Britain, is a graduate of Cambridge University and holds an MBA from Stanford Business School.  He sits on the Board of The New England Journal of Medicine and is a 25-year member of the Paley Center’s Media Council. He is an Academic Advisor to Yale’s new international publishing program, taught annually at Stanford University’s Professional Publishing Program for several years, and also has taught at NYU and Columbia.
